<<< Back På svenska What is FotoFinnaren? FotoFinnaren (PhotoFinder) is an image bank for schools. The main aim of this photo gallery is to offer copyright and royalty free pictures for all educational purposes. FotoFinder is making it easier for teachers and students to find pictures for all kinds of school projects.  Who can use the images? The photographic material on this site is free of charge for all teachers and students, including use by pre-schools, universities etc. Please see below for more detailed information! What is not allowed?? All photos are provided royalty free for non-commercial, educational use, providing that they are not redistributed or used in other photo collections. It is not permitted to copy FotoFinder pictures onto a web site and offer them for downloading. Provide a link to this site instead! If you use FotoFinder’s pictures on your school’s web page, please ensure that they are saved on your server. No external links to FotoFinder’s pictures are allowed! (The reason is simply that this site changes constantly, and your links will be broken.) Also, a link back to FotoFinder would be very much appreciated. About the images: All FotoFinder's images are taken by amateur photographers. The pictures are 640x480 up to 1200x900 pixels and 72 dpi, but most are also available in bigger size and higher resolution. Please contact info@fotofinnaren.se for more information! Most of the images have Swedish names, and the text on the web pages also is in Swedish. I hope this doesn't mean too big an obstacle... About the Travel (Andra länder) section: Pictures from other countries provided on FotoFinder are taken by amateur photographers on their holiday or business travels. Owing to time limits, weather etc., it is not always possible to take photographs which provide a true representation of an area or country. Please bear this in mind when viewing the pictures. How do I download? To download a picture, first click on the miniature picture to see the medium or the full scale image. Then right click on the image and select "Save Picture as..." You can also right click on the miniature, without first viewing the image, and select “Save goal as...” How do I contribute? FotoFinder only publish own pictures or pictures from known sources. If you wish to contribute, your photographs will be used on the same conditions as stated above. I maintain the right to sort, edit, change or even refuse to publish the recieved photographs if e.g. the quality is too poor. I also resize the images if necessary, and produce the thumbnails and web pages. Instructions: First of all click on the English flag to the right of Välj språk. Now the buttons, commands and menus are in English. Hover over the @ in the main menu and click on the link Upload file, or use the button Skicka in bilder. Now you can upload 5 photos (10 if you are a registered member) from your computer or your camera by clicking Bläddra at the right of each line and selecting the pictures you want. Then click Continue. Your pictures are uploaded. Now you get the message: 5 uploads were successful. Please click 'Continue' to add the files to albums. In the roll down list, just pick the first album in the list called (Aktuellt) - Album 1 - Nya bilder. If you want you can now write a short description of each photo, some keywords, and put your name on the line Foto:. (Your pictures won't show on the page until I have approved them, though. I will also sort them into the appropriate albums.) Note: If there are people in your images, they must have agreed to having their picture published on the Internet! Also it is important that your pictures are of common interest to teachers and students. (Since I won't have the opportunity to travel all over the world - no matter how much I would like to - images from other countries are especially welcome!)
